What is Curb Alert Day?
On this day, Mahwah residents will place clean, usable household items they no longer need at the curb for others to take…completely free. Think toys, tools, furniture, books, decor, and more!
How It Works:

Sign up below by October 19th to receive a FREE “Curb Alert” sign and a map of participating homes.

On Sunday, October 25th, place your items at the curb between 8 AM and 1 PM.

Neighbors can walk, bike, or drive around town to browse and pick up items. No money exchanged!

After 1 PM, bring remaining items back in, or schedule discounted junk removal from Junk That Now between 1–4 PM.
Please be mindful of safety and accessibility:

Do not block roadways, intersections, sidewalks or place items in the street. Place items back from the curb to not cause site obstructions.

On busy roads, leave enough space for cars to safely pull into your driveway and load items.

No street parking unless allowed on that specific street.
- Per Mahwah Township, ALL ITEMS MUST BE REMOVED BY Sunday, October 25, 2026 @ 5pm
